Frigliana

Frigiliana and its natural surroundings is the  place to spend your holidays. Clients can spend a fleeting weekend here or their full summer holidays. The peace and tranquility and the pure Spanish culture is hard to describe. People escape the worldly noise and immerse themselves in the tranquility of its streets

However, for that reason, especially in the summer season, the festiveness, playfulness and culture that Frigiliana offers is second to none. In August there is the crowded Festival of 3 Culturas, in which tens of thousands of people gather tot celebrate.

No matter what  time of year you choose, Frigiliana will always welcome you with open arms.

We strongly recommend that you  immerse yourself in its historic center. More so at night, times when walking through its steep streets. For that reason you feel like you are transported to past times. You will hardly hear the murmur of neighbors gathered in the street, probably completely forgetting the world outside.

First of all we recommend that you embrace the natural environment. You can also enjoy many really beautiful places. We recommend you visit the local Tourist Office. Here you must ask about the local festivals and traditions… of which there are many.

Places to see

Above all you must never visit Frigiliana without including a trip to Nerja (The jewel of the costa del Sol) with its ‘Balcon De Europe‘ and the ‘Nerja Caves‘.  Furthermore any trip to this region should also include a visit to Malaga with its magnificient Cathdral and its amazing Port

Festivities

During the year there are numerous occasions when tourists come to Frigiliana to immerse themselves in its festivals and traditions. Some of them are deep rooted, such as Easter, the carnival and the Day of the Honey of Cane. Visitors can choose from the most local and traditional festivals. One of them is San Sebastian, where there is a great bustle of people on the streets. Finally one of the largest Frigiliana Festival is 3 Cultures, where tens of thousands of people gather in the streets. The festival takes place over four days and  for that reason it is probable the most visited festival in the region.

Summer offers many things for tourists. Festive-cultural activities, such as the Festival of popular dances, with more than 30 years behind it. Also there is the annual gatherings of rock music bands and choirs. There are also concerts, exhibitions, and activities that are scheduled each summer.
